Garlic Town, USA

Garlic Town, USA is a one-day festival scheduled for Saturday of Labor Day Weekend to celebrate farmers, agriculture and the spirit of Bennington’s famous long-running GarlicFest which had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Organized and coordinated by the Town of Bennington and the Better Bennington Corporation, Garlic Town will feature garlic and produce vendors set up in different areas throughout downtown Bennington. Festival patrons can visit these vendors in an organized, safely distanced fashion. Two-three vendors will be organized in each of five, separate groups — “Cloves”.  Clove locations will be as follows:

• Clove A – Downtown Visitor’s Center > Four Corners
• Clove B – Four Corners Clock > Silver Street
• Clove C – Silver Street > Ramunto’s
• Clove D – Depot Street lot > Dutchman’s Tavern
• Clove E – Bennington Farmers Market on River St.

Visitors can go to bennington.com to obtain a free ticket to start at one of the Cloves. From there, they can move around to the other Cloves throughout the day. This ticket system will allow town staff members and volunteers to monitor the crowd size, and space people out evenly throughout the day. We ask the public’s cooperation with this effort to try to keep everyone safe.
